11-year-old Millie Haywood, who has attended the Sandra Taylor School of Dance in West Bridgford since the age of 3, has been successful in gaining a place at Elmhurst Ballet School in Birmingham.
In association with Birmingham Royal Ballet, Elmhurst is a world-renowned ballet school, and has trained many elite dancers who have gone on to have celebrated careers with leading dance companies.
Millie said, “I am so pleased to have such an exciting opportunity and I am very grateful to Mrs Taylor and all of the teachers at Sandra Taylor School of Dance, who have supported and encouraged me to pursue my dreams.”
Starting from this September, Millie will be boarding at Elmhurst as a full-time student, combining her ballet training with her academic studies.Sandra Taylor says “We are all very proud of Millie, her dedication has opened the door to an exciting future in Ballet and I feel sure she will enjoy every moment at Elmhurst.
