Starting a new football team is never an easy proposition and help from local businesses, volunteers and many others are essential. Kits, balls and training equipment are all necessities for any side which all come at a cost.
In the August edition of the Rushcliffe Local News, we ran a story in conjunction with Radcliffe Olympic asking for assistance with the newly formed Radcliffe Olympic FC Under 9s. With over 25 boys and girls (many of whom have been training with the club from the age of 4) the club have set up 2 sides who started playing competitive football in September for the first time.
A huge thanks needs to go to Cotgrave Service Station and Jet who have very kindly provided a fantastic donation to the club, to allow all of the players not only to have a home and away kit, but also a hoodie and rain jacket for the cold and wet days we’ve had during the winter months!
If you, your child or even grandchildren are looking to play football and would like to know more, please visit www.radcliffeolympic.co.uk or search for Radcliffe Olympic on Facebook.
