On Saturday 9th March, West Bridgford Colts Men’s 1st team walked out to their home match against Asfordby FC with mascots from the Club’s under 8 Elm team.
The Club is extremely proud to give sporting opportunities through football from the under 5’s all the way through to the men’s and women’s senior teams. The mascots had a great experience and got to see the team win 2-0, with Josiah Puleston making his West Bridgford Colts debut at just 16 years old.
The team are sponsored by NHS Organ Donation, a partnership and cause that West Bridgford Colts are proud to support. Promoting this truly life changing work is vital so that more people can have a conversation with their loved ones about their wishes, and consider joining the Organ Donor Register.
We are proud of the support the Organ Donation Teams have given families across Nottinghamshire.
Jenna Povey from the Nottingham Organ Donation Team said: “We are delighted to be supporting West Bridgford Colts both this season and the next.
“We hope that supporters will see the slogan on the shirts, and it will encourage people to start talking about Organ Donation. “So many people don’t talk about what they would want if they were ever in the position to be able to save other people’s lives through Organ Donation so families are left guessing. We would encourage everyone to have that conversation, tell their loved ones what they would want and register their decision on the Organ Donor Register.”
We as a club look forward to continuing our partnership with the Organ Donation Team.
