Spring Lane Farm Shop based on the outskirts of Lambley, have been granted planning permission for the conversion and change of use of a current agricultural storage barn to a restaurant/coffee shop to operate alongside their existing Farm Shop.
Talks of a coffee shop venue at Spring Lane started back in September 2020, which triggered a series of plans and applications being submitted to the local authority, including a brand-new gateway to improve highway access to the site which was installed in March 2023.
The proposed restaurant/coffee shop will be an opportunity to showcase their fantastic range of homemade food, produced only a stone’s throw away in their farm shop situated on their family-run working farm.
Both the interior and external design of the converted building is expected to complement the rural and agricultural surrounds and reflect the original intended use for the shed back in the 1990s as dairy cattle housing; finished in a quirky and cosy, yet modern country farmhouse décor vibe.
Building works are due to commence in Summer 2024 with completion expected in Summer 2025.
