Recently, Clifton parkrun celebrated it’s 6th birthday with over 60 runners attending from Newark, Gedling, Wollaton, Beeston, Tamworth and Melton for the special day.
Ran entirely by volunteers, the group celebrated with cake upon completion and it was fantastic to see so many people involved.
A special congratulations must go to Matt Pickles for finishing his 150th parkrun on the same day.
Over the six years, Clifton parkrun has held an incredible 203 parkruns with 10,344 finishes, 3,889 finishers and 1,507 PB’s!
This local event takes place every Saturday morning at 9am on Clifton Playing Fields, Farnborough Road, Clifton, NG11 8JU.
If you’re not aware of parkrun, it’s a free, weekly, timed 5k walk, jog or run and is open to all ages and abilities.
