A number of roads around Nottingham University will be closed or have restricted access to ensure the safety of those taking part.
After a three year hiatus, the countdown is on to the 2022 Nottingham 10K taking place on Sunday 22nd May which is expected to attract thousands of runners.
As one of Nottingham’s most popular running events, the day is expected to generate a huge cash boost for a host of good causes.
The race is being organized by Jane Tomlinson’s Run For All, in partnership with the University of Nottingham.
The 10K route will take place almost exclusively on one of the UK’s most scenic university campuses and take in Highfields Park boating lake. This partnership will see £5 of every entry donated to the Nottingham Breast Cancer Research Centre, based at the university.
Run For All, are now informing runners, spectators, residents and visitors that a number of roads will be closed, or have access restricted, during the event to ensure the safety of all those taking part.
Roads affected include East Drive, Beeston Lane, Cripps Hill, Cut Through Lane, Jubilee Avenue, Keighton Hill, Lenton Hall Drive, Library Road and Science Road.

Tristan Batley-Kyle, Run For All’s Head of Events, at Jane Tomlinson’s Run For All, race organiser, said: “After a two year hiatus, we are really looking forward to welcoming runners to Nottingham for the Nottingham 10K. Unfortunately an event of this scale does mean some road closures are necessary to ensure the safety of all involved.”

The Nottingham 10K official partner charities include; Nottingham Breast Cancer Research Centre, Notts County Foundation, Nottinghamshire Deaf Society, Mind Nottinghamshire, Maggies and the Jane Tomlinson Appeal.
