Carnarvon Primary School Colour Run

10/07/2025 by Digital Media

On Thursday 22nd May, Carnarvon Primary School, hosted a Colour Run event. This was organised by their fantastic PTA members and was a huge success and a day everyone will remember for a long time.

Paralympic gold medallist, professional athlete and diversity and inclusion champion Richard Whitehead MBE, was invited to start off this sponsored event and the school made a donation from the total amount raised to his charity – The Richard Whitehead Foundation.

This sponsored event raised much needed funds for school, and exceeded everyone’s expectations, with over £10,000 received in sponsorship. The money raised will go towards improvements they are making to their outside play areas, and implementation of the OPAL play scheme.

Richard was presented with a cheque for £950, which he was very grateful for. He is pictured (photo below) receiving the cheque from Mr Board (the Head Teacher), Mrs Weston (The School Business Manager), and some PTA members and children from the school.

A massive thank you once again to everyone who contributed. We are so proud of what we achieved together.
