Here’s a few notices of information and events coming up in Calverton this October.
We need your help!
A newly created Community Projects Working Group has been formed and we are looking for volunteers, ideas and suggestions how we can all improve our village.
We have already invested in new planters at the village entrances and hope to put some more in the Square and near the Co-op.
The Heritage Garden is now looking a much nicer place to sit and contemplate in thanks to a few Councillors who have given up their time and residents who kindly donated plants.
We would still like to have a “farming implement” like a plough we can put on a plinth to compliment the Coal Truck, if anyone happens to have one they would like to donate, please get in touch!
We also hope to organise litter picks, bulb/tree/shrub planting sessions, general weeding/pruning and anything else you think we need to do.
If you would like to be part of this group and help make the village a nicer place to live, please contact the parish clerk on [email protected]
Thank you.
