Local childcare provider, The Lime Trees, which operates its nursery and school clubs within Burton Joyce Primary School, has been rated Outstanding once again by Ofsted.
In a report released last week, all four areas of inspection: The quality of Education; Behaviour and Attitudes; Personal Development and Leadership and Management were deemed to be of the highest possible standard. Ofsted Inspector, Susan Hyatt, said that: “Children are extremely happy and settled” and that “every child’s uniqueness is valued. Staff have expert knowledge and understanding of all children’s abilities and development,” and that “Children’s health and well-being are given the highest priority.”
Opened in 2013, The Lime Trees at Burton Joyce supports children from over 200 local families, aged 2 to 11 years. The setting first achieved its Outstanding rating in March 2014 and, thanks to the dedication of the entire Lime Trees team, has now held onto it for a record-breaking eight years. An unparalleled track record for providers in the area.
The official report goes on to say that “parental feedback for the service is overwhelmingly positive, staff are amazing, and children are developing skills they need for school.” It also highlights The Lime Trees’ commitment to children from disadvantaged backgrounds and those with special educational needs and disabilities who receive ‘exceptional support’. A prime example being the recruitment of a speech and language therapist to offer a higher level of language and communication assistance.
The Lime Trees operates over 30 nurseries and childcare provisions across the region and has an unparalleled track record. Since the launch of the company in 2013, every single inspectable venue has been rated outstanding. Gareth Degenhart, founder of The Lime Trees, explains what the latest Outstanding rating means for families at the Burton Joyce setting and his team.
“We’re extremely proud to have received this top rating once again. It means so much to everyone because we really do put our hearts and souls into creating the best environment for our children and families. We know how important the work that we do is, and the impact we have on children’s everyday lives and their futures. Parents can take this as complete reassurance that we’re the best place for their children to be.
“And for our amazing team, it’s the highest confirmation possible that their hard work and dedication has been recognised. We know that happy, dedicated staff who love what they do will go above and beyond for the children in their care – that’s what makes The Lime Trees so special and so different. We focus on people over profits and the results speak for themselves.”
A once-frustrated father himself, Gareth founded The Lime Trees as a solution to the problems he faced when trying to find flexible, affordable, and quality childcare for his own daughter. A decade later, his vision for the brand is to expand The Lime Trees’ outstanding methods and service to every region of the UK.
