“Energising and optimistic” was just one quote gathered from the second Successful Broxtowe Community Climate Forum which took place at Round Hill School on January 26th 2023.
The event saw over 23 different groups give a 2 minute pitch about what their group does and what help they needed, or could offer. The pitches were very varied and covered greener nature, health and social practices which are already taking place in the Broxtowe Community… and also included some great visionary plans for the future… you’ve got to have a dream to make a dream come true!
The pitches then lead in to a vibrant networking session where people could discover more about the groups, or even sign up to future actions with different groups. There was a definite buzz abut the place and a great forging of future connections!
The event was organised by Broxtowe Green Umbrella Group whose aim is to connect people through climate action. They believe in the whole idea that creating mycelial like networks will enhance and strengthen all individual and group actions and lead to Broxtowe becoming a more sustainable, attractive and just place for all to live in.
There is mighty strength in unity! If you wish to be emailed about future events and join in this growing network of climate justice allies then please email: [email protected]
