Incredible Edible launches Broxtowe Green Festival!

13/08/2021 by Digital Media

We have exciting news! As part of ‘Great Big Green Week’ (18th – 26th September), which celebrates action on climate change, we are hosting our own event here in Broxtowe.

Broxtowe Green Festival will take place on Saturday 25th September 12 – 3pm on the Bowling Green at Inham Nook Recreation Ground right next to the Eskdale Drive tram stop. (It’s the same day as the awesome Oxjam Beeston Music Festival)!

During ‘Great Big Green Week’, communities all over the country will celebrate and showcase how local communities are tackling climate change and protecting green spaces.

We already have some awesome groups and businesses signed up including: Beeston Wildlife Group, Feed Me Fully Loaded, Nottingham Climate Assembly, Nottingham Energy Partnership, Notts Cloth Nappies and more! There will be food and fun activities for children. Incredible Edible Beeston will be there too of course!

Climate change is the fight of our lifetime. In November, the UK is hosting a major UN climate summit, known as COP26, where big decisions about the climate will be made.

We believe that grassroots movements are a fantastic way of engaging the public but also of putting pressure on those in positions of authority to do what is needed. As Brené Brown once said: “We don’t have to do all of it alone. We were never meant to.” We’d love to see you at Broxtowe Green Festival. It’s a great opportunity to have fun, ask questions and learn more.
