As part of his art residency with the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance (LNAA), Bingham artist, Tim O’Brien was delighted to support their annual Rotors & Wings Gala lunch by donating this oil painting to the live auction at the event.
The lunch was organised by the Lincolnshire Air Ambulance County Appeal (LAACA) and was attended by over 450 guests who bid on items in a silent and live auctions. Tim’s painting features the yellow helicopter landing to attend an emergency on Lincoln’s South Common.
Tim said: “I’m thrilled to share that my painting raised £950. The fundraising event hosted by former BBC Radio Lincs presenter, Melvyn Prior was a tremendous success with the overall total exceeding £100,000 to keep the air ambulance flying and saving lives. Thank you to the buyer for their generosity.”
Tim has also provided two more pieces of artwork for this year’s LNAA Christmas cards which are for sale via their shops and fundraising stands.
