The choir is now enjoying a well-deserved summer break after two fantastic Golden Jubilee concerts.
Our final concert of the series will be a Jubilee ‘Last Night of the Proms’ with Mansfield Choral Society and Nottingham Symphony Orchestra at 7.30pm on Saturday 26th November at Southwell Minster. This should be enormous fun, with plenty of opportunities for audience participation, so do keep the date, Even better, come and sing with us.
We begin our rehearsals for the concert on Wednesday 7th September 2022 (correction to date previously given). A free trial of three rehearsals is available for new members.

While the choir looks forward to several weeks of rest and relaxation, our Musical Director Guy Turner will be setting out on his 1050 mile walk from Land’s End to John O’Groats. Beginning on 27th July, Guy aims to complete the walk on Monday 10th October. He is walking to fulfil a long-term ambition but also to support the work of four charities: Bingham and District Choral Society, Framework, Awards for Young Musicians and Southwell Minster (Eco projects).
Guy is funding his own expenses so that all the sponsorship money he raises will benefit these good causes. He has already raised the impressive sum of £7,683 and has decided to revise his fundraising target from £10,000 to £15,000. He will be writing a daily blog so that we can follow his progress as we cheer him on.
