Beeston u3a gearing up for a busy Autumn

21/10/2023 by Digital Media

The regional branch of the national u3a group (for retired and semi-retired people) is particularly popular and active in Beeston, which now has more than 1000 members and 100 interest groups. The u3a maxim ‘Learn, Live, Laugh’ applies to varied activities as they exercise, study, craft, read and play games together in various Beeston locations.

Whatever your interest – whether it be regular pastime or picking up something enjoyed in youth, there is sure to be something to fit, along with a warm welcome.

Everyone is welcome to attend the Open Meetings on the first Thursday of the month at Beeston Methodist Church – 10am for refreshments with a speaker at 10.30am.

The annual U3a Group fair will take place at the Pearson Centre on Thursday 5th October between 10 and 11.30am. All our enthusiastic Group Facilitators will be available to chat about their activities and sign up new participants. The full Membership team will be available for new members to join and for existing members to renew.
