From 1st December, Broxtowe’s town centres have been decorated with festive lights. Soon, the scent of roasted chestnuts and hot chocolate will fill the air as two Christmas Fairs will take place in Broxtowe this December.
Visit Beeston Square on the 12th December and Walter Parker VC Square in Stapleford on the 19th December and you will be able to browse a selection of stalls selling jewellery, leather ware, ornamental models, gifts for your pets and craft items.
Cllr Milan Radulovic and Broxtowe Borough Council leader says: “Town Centres are the community heartbeat of any place and having had a challenging year this year, local businesses need our help. Being able to pop out for a few things is something that gives us great joy and it would be a terrible thing to lose.
“These Christmas Fairs will be a welcome sight this December, nestled in the heart of Beeston and Stapleford. Come and see what they have to offer and the businesses around them too. We have great shops and stalls in Broxtowe and with the Christmas season upon us, it is also a great opportunity to get into the festive spirit and buy some great items. Think local; shop local.”
At the Christmas Fairs, there will be a one-way system in place, hand sanitising stations, good spacing between stalls and safety measures reminder signage.
The market is a Covid-secure outdoor shopping environment but the Council would like to remind all residents and visitors to stick with the rule of hands, face, space, at all times. Wash your hands and use hand sanitiser, wear a face covering and keep a 2m distance, or 1m distance with face covering if 2m is not possible. If you have symptoms, stay home and dial 111 to book a test.
