An additional walk for National Heritage week has been announced to complement the one already publicised.
Lead by Beeston Civic’s Jeanie Barton, Director of the Street Art Project, the new guided tour will explore the acclaimed town-centre artworks.
Local folks, and those from further afield, are invited to take a look at the spectacular wall art on Sunday 17th September starting out at 2pm from Beeston’s town-centre bandstand. This event is another free-to-attend contribution to Heritage week – complementing the Heritage Exhibition and talk on Thursday 14th September at the Royal British Legion and Heritage Walk, lead by local historian John Beckett, which takes place on Sunday 10th September.
Beeston’s Street art has received critical acclaim from many local, national and international individuals and organisations. The artworks provide interest and talking points, increasing footfall to the town, and supporting Beeston’s future legacy. Feature people and events pertinent to the locality the 50 plus installations are located across the area.
