The Nottingham’s Beeston branch has made a gesture that will help put food on the tables of local families who need it most this Christmas.
When the building society made charitable funds available and asked its branches to nominate projects that help the most vulnerable in their communities the Beeston team decided to support HOPE Nottingham.
The £100 donation will be spent on vital supplies for the charity’s food bank, which is accessed by families in Beeston and other nearby neighbourhoods.
Customer Services Assistant Wayne Curtis said: “We’re really happy to be able to donate the money to HOPE Nottingham to help out local families who require the food bank services this Christmas.
“As a branch team we are also really proud to work for an organisation that continues, even at a time when everyone is facing extra challenges due to the Covid-19 pandemic, to play a key role in supporting those who are most at need or vulnerable.”
