10/11/2022 by Digital Media

The Mayor of Rushcliffe Cllr Tina Combellack is inviting the community to join her and local dignitaries in observing a two minute silence to mark Armistice Day this Friday, November 11.

All are welcome to attend the Remembrance event on Central Avenue in West Bridgford

that starts shortly before 11am with a bugler playing The Last Post on the stroke of the hour and the two minute reflection.

Cllr Combellack said: “It is so important that we pay our respects for Armistice Day and remember all who have paid the ultimate sacrifice in serving their country and not just those lost in World Wars 1 and 2 but sadly in more recent conflicts.

“I invite residents and the local community to join me in the two minute silence in West Bridgford. Please arrive in good time ahead of 11am.”
