Area of Clifton to be turned pink and blue for Baby Loss Awareness week

05/10/2020 by Digital Media

The 9th to 15th October is Baby Loss Awareness Week, a global date in the calendar for bereaved parents, families and friends to commemorate their precious babies lives.

Forever Stars are working harder than ever this year to mark this date by working with the local community to turn our fabulous City Pink and Blue – the colours of baby loss and  to raise awareness about pregnancy and baby loss to drive for the improvements that are needed for parents and families both now and in the future and encourage local bereaved parents to speak of their babies and break the taboo that is baby loss.

This year in recognition of the impact that Covid-19 has had upon the community, Forever Stars have focused on a more community feel to the week and are delighted to announce that Clifton (one of Europe’s biggest housing estates) are fully engaged in supporting them, turning the whole of Southchurch Drive Pink and Blue, with balloon columns on lamp posts the length of,  as well as local businesses showing their support with window displays and there will be families decorating their homes too.

This is all supported and backed by Local Independent Councillor Maria Watson, who said “she was delighted to support such a fantastic cause and encourage the community to get involved to allow them a platform to talk about their babies”
