Jessica makes the finals of the British Hairdressing Business Awards 2020
A hairdresser from West Bridgford has secured her reputation as one of the UK’s most outstanding hairdressers after being named a finalist in the British Hairdressing Business Awards 2020.
Jessica Neil, who works at KH Hair on Central Avenue, captured the attention of a host of industry judges and is one of just six stylists in Britain nominated for Salon Stylist of the Year, sponsored by JOICO.
The awards, hosted by Hairdressers Journal International (HJI), celebrate the very best salon businesses, recognising and rewarding the creative talents of individuals and teams across the UK. Strong in both technical and relational skills, Jessica stood out for her customer care, extensive product knowledge and commitment to keeping up-to-date with the latest industry trends. Her interest in training and professional growth was essential too, as was evidence of a wider contribution to the salon team and a host of glowing client testimonials.
On her success, Jessica (31) says: “After months of not being able to do what I love, I’m absolutely over the moon to have finalised for the finals. It means so much to me because it recognises all the hard work I do in the salon every day for my amazing clients. I have the most supportive managers who really believe in me. It’s been a delight to come back to work and this really is the icing on the cake.”
Jayne Lewis-Orr, executive director of the awards, said; “What a year it has been for hairdressers – a truly unprecedented challenge that we never thought we’d see. To be named a finalist in the Salon Stylist of the Year category confirms just how exceptional Jessica is.
“Potential winners have to show wide-reaching excellence, effortlessly knowing how to combine technical prowess with a fantastic ability to connect with both customers and their colleagues. The Award pinpoints hairdressers who know technique, but who also bring their personality and drive to the table and contribute massively to the overall success of a salon.”
Jessica will find out if she has achieved the top spot at an awards evening on Monday 25th January at the London Hilton on Park Lane.
