Joanna Cowell from Cotgrave has recently released her new book, ‘Travels with the Reluctant Ghost Hunter’, featuring a collection of her own experiences travelling around the UK visiting various haunted or mysterious locations.
Joanna said, “I’ve been interested in ghosts and other mysteries of the universe for as long as I can remember, and this was fuelled by my mum’s books on the subject and my own vivid imagination. My own personal experience of the paranormal which I have detailed at the beginning of this book really sent my enthusiasm into over-drive, (despite it scaring me to death!) and made me determined to discover more.
“I live in rural South Nottinghamshire with my husband Pete, who bravely (and patiently), assists me in my ghost hunting endeavours. I love travelling around our beautiful country taking photographs and finding out as much as I can about local history and folklore. I am also a Reiki, Crystal and Angel healer, both for people and animals.
“I have had quite a few “experiences” over the years that I simply cannot explain, and I find these moments completely fascinating. Everyone you speak to seems to have had such a moment, even the people who don’t believe in “that sort of thing”. I find some of those people the most interesting, as they have such little belief in the paranormal world it makes them far less likely to lie or exaggerate!
