Residents and visitors parking in Rushcliffe’s car parks can use Ring Go parking as the easy and cashless way to park as town and village centres adapt to the new normal.
With all sites resuming regular charges and restrictions from today (June 29), motorists can park even more securely without the need to use a ticket machine and instead use the Ring Go app on their phone.
The scheme ensures there is no longer the need for motorists to hunt for change and place a printed ticket in their vehicle.
All are advised to follow social distancing measures in line with central government guidance when using car parks across the Borough.
When arriving at a car park, motorists can download the Ring Go app, call, text or pay online at www.myringgo.co.uk across the Council’s seven Pay and Display car parks at:
- West Bridgford: Bridgford Road, Gordon Road and Nursery/Albert Road car parks
- Rushcliffe Country Park car park
- Keyworth: Bunny Lane car park
- Bingham: Needham Street car park
Where a free period is offered within pay and display car parks, the motorist can obtain a free voucher from the parking machine to take advantage of this free period.
Alerts to motorists’ phones ensure they’re always aware a parking period is due to finish and it takes a few easy steps to extend their parking time.
The easy to use facility has been used over 31,000 times in car parks across the Borough since it was introduced in November 2018 by Rushcliffe Borough Council.
The authority’s Executive Manager for Neighbourhoods Dave Banks said: “Ring Go is the perfect way to ensure you can stay even safer when paying to park, just download and use the Ring Go app on your phone.
“You do not have to worry about having the right amount of change with you and instead can use a credit or debit card and pay by phone or online in a matter of minutes in car parks where a charge is applicable.
“Whilst the conventional method of paying with coins remains available, and all steps have been taken to ensure machines are safe to use in line with government COVID-19 advice,
we would suggest motorists may wish to switch to this method for a hassle free way to pay.”

The charges and restrictions are returning to help balance the needs of businesses, shoppers and visitors to town centres, villages and parks ensuring a healthy turn over of spaces to help support local economies in each location.
The Council launched its Off Street Car Parking Strategy in 2018 with a focus on supporting the right balance of duration, charging and other factors in each location to support local economic prosperity and has assessed its resumption will assist businesses recovering from COVID-19 changes.
