You may be thinking about putting the Christmas tree up, or even doing some Christmas shopping and rightly so! After all, Christmas is coming. So, what better way to embrace the Christmas spirit than by attending a market?
On 24th November, the YouNG project is hosting its annual Christmas Market between 12pm and 4:30pm on Gordon Road in West Bridgford.
Whether it’s a handmade Christmas gift you’re after, or simply a great atmosphere, the YouNG Christmas market has it all.
The YouNG project enhances the employability skills of young people between the ages of 13 and 21 and the Christmas market will showcase local young entrepreneurs and performers from secondary schools around the Rushcliffe area and beyond.
They will welcome a host of young people selling goods ranging from candles and bath bombs to handmade Christmas decorations, as well as a range of performers all hoping to boost your Christmas cheer.
Throughout the day there are numerous activities for all the family, with Christmas-themed games running along Gordon Road, an opportunity for kids to meet Santa (1-2pm and 3-4pm) near the Test Match pub and a Christmas-themed photo board for family memories.
Not to be missed is the Christmas Extravaganza, which kicks off at 3pm and will include a variety of street entertainment, a raffle and a Christmas Choir – there really is something for everyone.
As usual, the YouNG Christmas Market is being held in conjunction with Rushcliffe Borough Council’s West Bridgford Christmas lights switch-on between 10am and 6pm.
The main light switch on will be happening at 5pm on Central Avenue, so make sure you make time for both events for the full West Bridgford Christmas Market experience.
