Woodborough Tennis Club is a community facility that has served several generations in the local village.
The club currently has two tennis courts, both of which are very popular in the community and, best of all, they are surrounded by beautiful playing fields behind the village hall on Lingwood Lane.
Membership fees go towards maintaining the courts. However, visitors are also encouraged to play on a pay-and-play basis.
As well as their two tennis courts, they have three coaches – Jonny Ofield, Gina Ofield and Simon McBride – who are on hand to help.
Coaching is available for both adults and juniors.
Every year, the Woodborough Tennis Club hold their annual tennis tournament in July for adults and juniors, with a delicious BBQ.
They are affiliated to the Lawn Tennis Association and members are eligible to enter the Club Wimbledon ballot for Wimbledon tickets.
The club have an AGM each year around April in one of the local pubs, where everyone is welcome to attend and learn more about the club.
