The countdown to Christmas in West Bridgford will be twice as nice this year. Not only is our popular Christmas food and gift market expanding from one to two days, but we’re also combining two festive community events, the Gordon Road Christmas Fayre and the Central Avenue Christmas Lights Switch on, in to a giant Fire and Ice themed family fun day.
Catch our Christmas Market on the Croquet Lawn, Central Avenue Friday 20 November 9am – 4pm and Saturday 21 November 9am – 6pm. There’ll be stalls offering tasty seasonal food and drink plus great hand crafted gifts and home wares.
Visit our festive family fun day on Saturday 21 November on Central Avenue and Gordon Road 9am – 6pm. There will be wandering street theatre performers, fairground rides, a santa’s grotto, face painting and craft activities plus lots of great live music including West Bridgford Rock Choir and Nottinghamshire singer Mark Stevens.
The town centre Christmas lights will be switched on at 5pm by the Mayor of Rushcliffe, followed by a firework finale.
Santa’s Grotto will be located on Gordon Road, where children can meet Santa Claus, have their face painted and grab a photo with Elsa, Anna and Olaf from Frozen. There’ll also be a YouNG Market, with stalls from local young entrepreneurs, as well as a showcase of some of the Borough’s talented young performers.
