VI-SN (Visually Impaired South Notts) celebrated their Ruby anniversary with a concert party at Jesse Gray School, featuring the Nottingham Concert Band.
The members and their friends and families, along with former committee members, enjoyed an excellent, varied musical programme.
Richard Brown, the chairperson of the organisation, welcomed everybody and gave a short history of the club and Sandra Adams, a founder member, cut the celebration cake, which was shared by all present.
VI-SN meets monthly and is open to any visually-impaired residents of Rushcliffe.
A variety of activities are organised throughout the year, including a day trip, Christmas dinner, race night, musical performances and a variety of speakers.
