There will be road closures in Clifton for the next few weeks as final tweaks are made to the construction of the new lines.
Between Sunday 14th and Monday 22nd June, tram contractors will be carrying out track finishing and remedial works in Clifton.
As a result, Southchurch Drive will be closed between Donington Road and Green Lane, with signed diversions in place.
There will also be one-way traffic on Southchurch Drive between Farnborough Road and Donington Road; on Farnborough Road between Nottingham Road and Southchurch Drive; and on Southchurch Drive from Farnborough Road to its junction with Green Lane.
Temporary traffic lights will also be in operation on different sections of these routes from Wednesday 1st to Sunday 12th July.
Meanwhile, temporary two-way traffic lights will be in operation at the Queen’s Drive/ng2 junction for works on Saturday (13th June) for one day.
There will also be a temporary lane closure for traffic heading into the city at Abbey Bridge between Monday 15th and Thursday 18th June.
A NET spokesperson said: “The opportunity is being taken to complete some localised track works in between the extensive driver training and system testing that is currently taking place across both the new Clifton and Chilwell tram routes.
“This will allow the final stages of preparation for passenger services to begin.”
