Students are being urged to invest in great value season tickets following the launch of Nottingham’s expanded tram network.
With the new lines to Clifton and Chilwell now open, the tram network provides direct services to Nottingham University and Central College in Beeston as well as NTU’s city campus.
Jamie Swift, NET Marketing Manager, said: “Our nearest stop is also just a short walk from NTU’s Clifton campus, meaning that since the opening of our new lines, more students than ever before can benefit from a superb tram network.
“They can enjoy a quick and reliable transport – without the worry and expense of finding a parking space when they arrive at lectures – from as little as £99 for three months, or £225 for a full calendar year.
“Students travelling from outside the city can also take advantage of our free park and ride facilities.”
For occasional tram trips, the Student MANGO smart card, which can be topped up online and at tram stops, also offers great savings. Using MANGO, all trips cost just £1 while those preferring to pay cash can buy a return ticket for £2.50 from tram stop ticket machines.
Student season tickets can be bought at the NET Travel Centre in King Street or online at thetram.net where students can find full details of all student travel offers.
