Recognised supermarket chain Morrisons has introduced six new and improved self-scan machines into its Clifton store, in an exciting, promising development for the food-shopping outlet.
The machines, which were installed in the superstore late last month, have replaced the previous two self-scans mechanisms near the front of the shop.
Two checkout stations have been removed in order for the self-scan machines to be assembled.
The new devices have been devised by its inventors to help create a calmer, more efficient shopping experience for its customers, as well as reduce waiting time during the busy periods.
Some shoppers in the past had previously complained about the lack of stability that the earlier models were emitting during their past shopping experience.
However, the new models have produced better results and displayed more encouraging vibes from within the community and are widely anticipated to inspire more customers to shop at the store in the near future.
Dawn Gimson, a checkout team leader at the store, believes that the self-scan machines will benefit the supermarket considerably and will attract further customers to shop in store.
“I think that they are really good for Clifton Morrisons,” said Dawn. “The feedback I have had from customers already is very positive.
“The younger customers love them especially because they’re really quick and easy to use. We just need to keep encouraging our customers to use the new self-scans whenever possible.”
Florrieann Joyce, a regular shopper in Clifton Morrisons, says that the waiting times have lessened since the introduction of the self-scan machines and believes that they are now a lot easier to use than the previous models in store.
“I think that they are better than going to the checkouts sometimes,” said Florrie. “Because nine times out of 10, there are big queues at the tills.
“I also think that they are lot more easier to understand and use, and the new system on them is brilliant, because now you can take your bags off the scales when your packing up your shopping, which is great.”
