Seventeen paddlers from Nottingham Kayak Club made the trip to Anker Valley Canoe Club near Nuneaton to compete in the latest of the Midlands series of races.
The races over four miles were off first and in the fastest race over this distance, Dave Hadley took third while fellow club paddler Catherine Lineker was not far behind in sixth.
In the next race over four miles, Jeff Sutton finished in the middle of the competitiors, with Jane Millar just behind him. Heidi Unwin was paddling strongly until an unfortunate swim near the finish dropped her down the field.
In the last race over four miles, Sarah Millest took to the water in C1, finishing seventh overall, with club paddlers Molly Lever and Jack McGuire very close behind her in ninth and 10th.
In doubles over four miles, Kath and Mick Nadal were back in action in their usual fine form, finishing in second place.
Jakub Sliwa was the only Nottingham paddler to take on the 12-mile course and he had a great race to finish second.
The eight-mile course saw sisters Abi and Imogen Burgess teaming up to race in doubles. They had a strong race to finish in third place.
In singles on the eight-mile course was Andrew Keir, who finished 12th in his race.
Also racing over eight miles was Ellie Burgess, who had a brilliant race to finish in second place, just seconds behind first place. Imre Kucksa, taking part in his first race over eight miles, paddled strongly to finish in fourth place, despite a swim.
The Lightning races for the under-12s saw Gabby Burgess take to the water. She had a great race, finishing third.
