Two special tickets offering discount travel to and from the Clifton area of the city are set to be launched by Nottingham’s tram network next week.
A £3 Clifton to City Saver ticket for return travel between Clifton and stops in the city centre will be available to use after 9am Monday to Friday and all day at weekends.
Local residents and visitors to Clifton will also be able to use a £1 Clifton Saver Short Hop ticket, which will be available at all times for a single journey within the Clifton zone.
Jamie Swift, NET’s Head of Marketing, explained: “Our new line to Clifton has proved very popular with local residents since it opened last year and we hope these offers encourage many more people to discover the benefits of travelling on the tram.
“The two tickets will be available for six weeks from Monday, April 18 and will offer our Clifton customers great savings when travelling into the city and around the local area.”
Both the tickets will be available to purchase at tram stop ticket machines within the network’s Clifton zone which includes the Clifton South, Summerwood Lane, Holy Trinity, Clifton Centre, Rivergreen and Southchurch Drive North Stops.
Promotional posters and flyers are now being distributed around Clifton and local residents may recognise a few of the faces that feature in the material.
Jamie added: “We had a really great response to a photoshoot we held in Clifton and we’re delighted to have a few local faces front our new ticket campaign.”
