The future is looking exceedingly bright for a talented, young Chilwell actress who has been shortlisted for Best Newcomer in the upcoming British Soap Awards.
Thirteen-year-old Bethan Moore, who attends Chilwell School, beat hundreds of hopefuls to secure the regular role of Izzie Torres on BBC Daytime Drama, Doctors.
Bethan showed real promise from the very first audition and is now seen on our screens regularly as the daughter of character Daniel Granger – the second-longest running character on the soap – played by Matthew Chambers.
“I’m incredibly excited to have been shortlisted for the British Soap Awards,” Bethan said. “I still can’t believe it.
“The rest of the category are amazing and talented and I really hope I make it to the overall finals.”
Jess Bell, head of talent at Scream Management, the company she is assigned to, said: “We are incredibly proud of Bethan.
“Not only did she score the role of Izzie within weeks of joining our books, but she’s now being recognised for the superstar talent that she is, in such a prestigious awards category too.
“She’s destined for great things,we’re sure of it.”
