In mid-June, the seventh Cotgrave annual Family Fun day took off. The Beeston Pipe Band and dancers, smart in their kilts and fitted black tunics, started the day with pipes and drums.
There was new entertainment. Punch and Judy were popular while Dynamique Dance invited children to dance with them to the themes of Unicorns and Paw Patrol.
In addition, Way of the Wyrd Morris and K2 Dance of Keyworth were popular with the crowd.
The competitions this year were photography, the WI baking competition and miniature gardens.
Invaluable support was offered in setting up the field by the Nottingham Four by Fours, while over 40 stalls had booked in.
The Mayor of Rushcliffe, Mrs Maureen Stockwood, opened the event and judged all the competitions.
Anyone interested in helping with next year’s festival would be welcome. See Cotgrave Festival Facebook page for more photos.
