Silverdale Roundabout will be closed at the start of September for essential condition surveys.
The work will commence on Tuesday 1st September and last for approximately two weeks.
A-one+, who are a managing agent contractor for Highways England, will undertake the work.
A press release from A-one+ said: “A range of road condition and drainage surveys will be carried out on the A453/A52 at Silverdale in order to explore existing conditions and plan future improvement works.
“Doing this work now will help avoid additional road closures at a later date.
“While these surveys are being carried out it will be necessary to implement a number of road closures overnight.
“While closures are in place there will be short diversion routes in place to maintain access to the A453 and A52.
“Where access is required to Silverdale, vehicles will need to wait to be escorted through the closure. Access to properties will be maintained at all times.
“The works will be carried out overnight between 8pm and 6pm and while some disruption is unavoidable, we will do our best to minimise this.
“Please plan your journeys ahead allowing extra time during these hours and make sure you inform any visitors that you are expecting.”
