Royston & Lund are delighted to learn that they have won the first British Property Award for West Bridgford and have been shortlisted for both regional and national awards.
The British Property Awards Limited was launched this year by Robert McLean, a dedicated and passionate estate agent from North Wales. He wanted to create an alternative concept to the many awards schemes run each year across the industry and highlight the best agent at local, regional and national level without any bias on size, turnover or profitability.
To introduce a scheme that all agents would want to enter without prohibitive entry fees or other exclusivity features and one that truly reflects the market place and customer service excellence in each area to give more credibility to estate agency as a whole.
The aim, according to John Staggs from the British Property Awards team, is to encourage maximum participation from agents, large or small, many of whom never enter awards schemes due to costs or other constraints on their time and budget. The company targeted 300 areas across the country and invited every agent in every area to enter free of charge. The results are based on an 8 week assessment for each region.
The British Property Awards Team personally mystery shop every agent against a set of 25 criteria to obtain a balanced overview of their customer service levels. The judging criteria is both comprehensive and detailed, exploring different mediums, scenarios and time periods to ensure that agents have been both rigorously and fairly judged.
Robert McLean, Director from the British Property Awards said, “Our awards scheme is specifically designed to be accessible to all agents and remove any opportunity for bias or manipulation. The aim is for maximum participation so that we can honestly highlight the best in our industry.
Winning is simply down to fantastic customer service levels demonstrated across a prolonged period of time and the agents receiving an award should be quite rightly proud that their customer service levels provide a true benchmark for their local competition and inspire confidence from future clients.
We have been hugely inspired by the enthusiasm this first year and are confident that this scheme will become the number one accolade for the future and serve to raise the positive profile of this industry as we grow in stature.
Val Shakespeare, Director and Head of Property Sales at Royston and Lund, says, “This is an inspired and well thought through concept designed to find the real winners in the industry based on true customer service and efficiency.
We never have any concerns about being mystery shopped as customer service and efficiency is always 0our priority but are thrilled to have won this first year in a very competitive market and a highly desirable location. It reaffirms our position as No.1 yet again and only inspires us further to remain in the No.1 spot and deliver the best possible service for our clients”.
The awards will be presented by Martin Roberts from ‘Homes Under The Hammer’ at a lavish ceremony at the Banking Hall, Cornhill, London EC4 on 9th September.
