Chris Read, the captain of Nottinghamshire and his wife Louise, along with Lynne Morgan and a group of merry men, are in the throws of organising the fourth Bowel Cancer/NSPCC charity cricket match.
Previously held at Car Colston Cricket Club, the match held in honour of Chris’ first cricket coach Trevor Ward and Lynne’s daughter Laura, is this year moving to Radcliffe-on-Trent to allow for a growing audience.
The Twenty20 match made up of pros, including ex-England and Notts spinner Graeme Swann, and amateurs takes place at 4pm on Tuesday 1st September.
There offers to be plenty on for the children including coaching and face painting, along with food, bars, a super raffle and a band performing into the evening.
