Sunday 22nd March saw the culmination of this year’s Bingham Indoor Under-11 cricket tournament, which was held at Bingham Leisure Centre. It’s a competition that attracts a raft of junior sides from across the county and began back in January.
The strength of the under-11 youngsters at Radcliffe-on-Trent Cricket Club in successive years has led to the club retaining the trophy for six of the past seven seasons.
After a comprehensive win over local rivals West Bridgfordians, they put in a suitably steely performance against an experienced Notts and Arnold side, digging their heels in for what turned out to be a thrilling final and making it a fantastic seven out of eight for the club.
Radcliffe has over two centuries of cricketing heritage and a fantastic reputation for developing elite players.
Whether you’re new to the club, a returning junior or a total beginner, whether you play kwik cricket or hardball, Radcliffe-on-Trent Cricket Club has a great experience waiting for you this summer.
They are a Notts Premier League club boasting two large, beautifully-kept cricket grounds, new cricket nets – both mobile and static – a large pavilion with changing facilities and a bar and social area, selling food during junior training sessions.
They enter junior age-group teams in all of the local leagues and tournaments. The club hosts junior touring teams and their juniors even go on tour themselves occasionally.
