Prograss, your local, independent lawn company, have volunteered their services to tend to the grass at Jamie’s Forget-me-not Garden at Highbank Primary School in Clifton.
Tony Grice, of Prograss, said: “I am fully aware of the tragic circumstances behind the death of Jamie as my wife Rachael works with Lydia, Jamie’s Mum, at Highbank.
“When approached I was delighted to offer our services to improve the grass at the fantastic garden. Not only is it a fitting memorial to Jamie but it is fantastic place for the young children to play and learn in.”
Jamie was killed two years ago on holiday in Greece by a speeding, powerful motorbike driven in a residential area by an uninsured, unlicensed rider, who has still to be charged. His father was also injured, requiring surgery to his arm.
There is a petition being put together at the moment called ‘Justice for Jamie’ and if anybody would like to add their name to it, you can find the link on Twitter @Justice4JamieL or via Facebook’s Justice for Jamie group. You can also visit Jamie’s website at justice4jamie.blogspot.co.uk.
Tony added: “Hopefully it can be put to the government to try to seek justice in Greece.”
