Plans to build new shops and a gym on the Morrisons supermarket site have been given the go-ahead.
Submitted back in October of last year, the plans were approved by the Nottingham City Council planning committee in a meeting held in May.
The council considered concerns some residents made about parking, noise and building design.
Following planning approval, the new units are expected to provide competition for the new soon-to-be completed Clifton Triangle complex nearby on Green Lane, which comprises a new Lidl supermarket, four non-food retail units, a restaurant and 24 apartments.
Papers attached to the planning application also stated the proposal will link the Lidl development with Top Shops on Southchurch Drive.
Morrisons car parkwill see its spaces reduce to 208 as a result of the new buildings, with six of the units becoming shopping outfits and the other being a gym.
