Free rides and free breakfast treats will be up for grabs as trentbarton joins in this year’s national Catch the Bus Week from Monday (July 4 to 10).
Each day a driver on one trentbarton bus will be wearing a green wig, signifying that all their customers will get a free ride.
Green is Catch the Bus Week’s campaign colour, chosen because bus travel is greener. If everyone in the UK got on a bus once instead of just one car journey a month there would be one billion fewer car journeys.
And on Wednesday morning (July 6) those choosing to travel by bus in trentbarton land are in with a chance of a breakfast goodie bag with tasty treats.
Jordan Kemp, marketing & communications manager at trentbarton, said: “Catch the Bus Week is a national celebration of all things bus and aims to promote the benefits and encourage people who don’t normally take the bus to give it a try.
“On trentbarton buses those new passengers will discover what our existing customers already know – travelling by bus is a relaxing way to get around. They are packed with creature comforts like superfast free WiFi, USB power and swish seats.
“We are always keen to reward our customers both loyal and new, so our breakfast goodie bags and free rides are available to all. Just look out all week for drivers with green hair and on Wednesday for our breakfast teams.”
Trying out the wigs for size were award-winning trentbarton drivers Christian Allen-Clay, Keely Baker, Abdul Jabar and Hayley Sanders. Jordan said: “Next week the wigs could be seen on these four or any of our other 800 drivers. Keep your eyes peeled, passengers.”
