The West Bridgford Colts Under-8s team kicked off the season in style with a new kit sponsored by Barratt Homes North Midlands.
The young female footballers are sporting a new kit and training jackets after the local homebuilder became their official sponsor for the season.
Barratt Homes, whose development Edwalton Park is nearby in Edwalton, has donated £350 to the youth team for their sponsored shirts and jackets.
The West Bridgford Colts Under-8s participate in the Mini Colts U8 Football League and play their home matches at Rushcliffe School on Boundary Road in West Bridgford.
With a number of growing families moving into Edwalton Park, the local football team could be welcoming many new recruits and the properties may soon be accommodating the stars of the future.
The community donation came about through Barratt’s relationship with the Savills development team, also based in Nottingham and active in the sale of development land.
Jan Ruston, sales director at Barratt Homes North Midlands, said: “We’re thrilled to have sponsored the Colts and we wish them the very best of luck for the season.
“As a leading housebuilder, it’s important to us to support local groups and organisations within the communities we build.
“Clubs such as this unite residents, boosting morale within the neighbourhood and creating an identity for the young people involved.”
