Staff have each donated £2 towards the appeal, so they can ditch their uniform for the day and spread a little cheer wearing their festive jumpers, encouraging visitors and customers to contribute to this fantastic cause.
“Christmas Jumper Day is a simple and really effective way of raising money for some very worthy charities, including MacMillan Cancer Support, Make a Wish and Save the Children,” says NCT Marketing Manager Anthony Carver-Smith. “We’re always blown away by the generosity of our staff and customers at this time of year, and I’m sure we’ll see lots of big-hearted gestures today – not to mention some truly unique Christmas jumpers!”
In addition to staff wearing Christmas Jumpers, a very special visitor, Santa, is taking time out of his busy schedule to drive for Nottingham City Transport over the next few days, with fares collected on his bus also being donated to the appeal.
“Ho ho ho!” says Santa “I love my sleigh but it’s going to be fun driving a bus for a change!”
