The police arrested a man and recovered a stolen motorbike and bicycles after responding to a report of a burglary in Gedling.
A group of men broke into a garage in Arnold Lane, took a motorbike and three mountain bikes and loaded them into a white van before driving off.
It happened at about 9.30pm on Wednesday (6th March 2019).
Officers spotted the suspects’ vehicle, which failed to stop, and a pursuit ensued.
The van came to a stop after crashing at the bottom of a grass bank in Woodthorpe.
After a foot pursuit a 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of burglary. He remains in police custody.
The motorbike and mountain bikes were recovered from the van.
The police enquiries are ongoing. They’re appealing for any witnesses or anyone who has any information about the burglary and those responsible to get in touch.
The offenders are about 6ft tall and of skinny build. They were dressed in black and were wearing face coverings.
