A planning application has been submitted for a major new housing development on land off Park Road in Calverton.
Persimmon Homes plan to build up to 430 new homes on the site, which would be accessed by Park Road and Oxton Road.
The land is currently comprises grassland, vegetation and hedgerows, although two paths currently run through the area.
The application states that the “footpaths will be retained and improved as part of the works, becoming an important part of the existing infrastructure”.
Persimmon Homes held a public consultation event last year where over 100 residents attended and saw initial plans.
Since then, pre-application discussions have been held with planning officers at Gedling Borough Council and Nottinghamshire County Council’s highways department.
Neil Follows, managing director at Persimmon Homes Nottingham, said: “This is the first time we are proposing to build in Calverton.
“The development is part of our strategic plan to bring much-needed new homes to the area.
“We are hoping our planning application will be well received.”
