Five local school friends gave up their Sunday morning football training to cycle one and half miles and run the same distance around Holme Pierrepont’s main lake on Sunday for Sport Relief.
Alex Sutton, Charlie Woods, Clay Monkmon, Kody Rawlinson and Fraiser Cooper, along with Kody’s big sister Emmie – all from Cotgrave Candleby Lane School – raised over £470 in sponsorship.
All the boys are aged five or six and Emmie is nine years old – and all had their individual reasons for raising money, ranging from helping to battle homelessness, helping those who are dealing with a bereavement and helping children less fortunate.
They took between 33 and 40 minutes to complete the three-mile round trek and all six of them were full of smiles as they crossed the finish line.
An amazing achievement and a deservingly huge well done.
They would all like to thank everybody who supported them and donated to this amazing charity.
