The construction team at Beeston-based J Tomlinson has handed over a supported living scheme built for developer HBV.
Limbrick Place in Jardine Crescent at Tile Hill, Coventry, features a single block of eight and a single block of 16 apartments, along with 10 apartments that will be used to support adults who require high levels of complex care.
The specialist development was the second built by J Tomlinson for a partnership involving HBV, Inclusion Housing CIC and Lifeways Community Care, and follows a highly successful £2.3 million scheme in Rushden, Northamptonshire, consisting of 16 apartments for adults with learning and physical disabilities, which was completed in 2016.
Martin Gallagher, managing director (construction) at J Tomlinson, which undertook £4.5 million of building work, said: “As a company, J Tomlinson has extensive experience of building specialist developments such as this.
“We were very pleased to have been a part of the team creating such a first-class environment, which provides purpose-built, supported living accommodation for adults with disabilities – enabling them to have their own homes.”
The development is future-proofed with integrated assistive technology provided by ATEL including automatic doors, care call system and access control. The architect for the scheme was Calderpeel.
