Newark and Sherwood Homes has proved it puts safety first, after recently being awarded a gold medal in the 2017 RoSPA (Royal Society of Prevention of Accidents) Health and Safety Awards.
The internationally recognised awards, held by RoSPA, promote the prevention of accidents in the UK and worldwide, and honour organisations which are committed to raising their health and safety performance.
The gold medal accolade is only presented to companies that have received between five and nine consecutive gold awards from RoSPA, now making it the eighth year in a row that the Midlands based company has been recognised for its health and safety precautions.
Jean Clark chair of HR committee and a tenant of Newark and Sherwood Homes, said: “We are all extremely proud and pleased to be recognised by RoSPA for our ongoing commitment to health and safety best practice.
“The benchmark on safety was established within the company a number of years ago and since then we have all strived to improve our safety performance year on year.
“All the people who work for Newark and Sherwood Homes play a major part in ensuring a safe culture exists within the company, helping us to provide excellent housing services for the tenants.”
