Holme Lodge, part of charity Leonard Cheshire Disability, is asking people to ‘Give and Bake’ – by bringing together friends, family and work colleagues for a cup of tea and a slice of cake in exchange for a donation, which will directly support disabled people locally.
Holme Lodge in West Bridgford is holding a Give and Bake event on Wednesday 11th February between 2pm and 4pm. This will include lots of tasty treats from their chefs and volunteers. They will provide tea and coffee and you will get the chance to meet and chat with staff, volunteers and residents.
Shona Ramshall said: “Baking can help lift your mood and now it can make you feel even better if you Give and Bake. Sign up to make a few cakey treats for friends in exchange for a donation to Leonard Cheshire Disability. The money you raise will make a huge difference to the lives of disabled people in the community.”
One in six people are disabled in the UK and that disability can affect anyone at any time in their lives. When it does, Leonard Cheshire Disability is there to help people live a positive and fulfilling life. It’s really easy to get involved in ‘Give and Bake’.
