It has been a fantastic sporting year for one local West Bridgford school.
Heymann Primary and Nursery School on Waddington Drive has had a run of successes in both the local cricket and football tournaments.
So far this year, Heymann have won the Rushcliffe Football Cup and the Nottinghamshire County Football Cup.
Their successes have not stopped there, though. Heymann entered an A and a B team in the Nottinghamshire Primary School’s County Cricket Hardball competition and both teams have won every match they played and are now facing each other in the final.
Head teacher, Lynda Noble, told the Local News: “What an achievement for the school and, as a result, Heymann are guaranteed a place in the regional final and then hopefully on to the national final.
“We wish everyone all the best luck in the regional final and, fingers crossed, the national finals too.
“It is great to see such a healthy level of commitment and enjoyment at a grassroots level in both sports.
“The school would like to offer their thanks to all the support of the teachers and parents who have helped in their successes this year. Well done.”
