Beeston, Nottingham NG9 2LN

Saturday 13th July is the date to put in your diaries for this year’s Beeston Carnival.
Along with their trusted band of volunteers, and after successfully overcoming a few logistical obstacles this year, this will be the 14th carnival organised by Lynda Lally and her husband Pat.
The day will begin at 10:30am in Beeston Squarewith a varied array of performers, including the infamous Beeston rap artist Kingdom Rapper, zumba with Sally’s Fitness Folk and a live performance from Oxjam.
Events will culminate in the square with the crowning of the Carnival Prince Kieran and Carnival Princess Chelsea.
At 1pm, the parade will leave from Beeston Town Hall led as usual by the rousing sound of the Beeston Pipe Band.
Broadgate Park will be open from 12noon, which will be filled with stalls from a huge cross section of the community’s groups, companies and organisations.
There will be entertainment throughout the day including the intriguingly titled Tuneless Choir, a performance from the Alderman White Swing Band and something from Beeston Musical Theatre.
Following the enormous success last year, a popular return will be made by the Adam Cullen Skating Projects covered roller skating ring, where carnival goers can turn up and have a go.
This year will see the event partnered again with Middle Street Resource Centre.
Situated close to Broadgate Park, the centre will form a chill out fringe where carnival goers can step away from the hussle and bustle of the main event and enjoy refreshments, live music and poetry in relaxed surroundings.
Beeston Local news will be there, so please come and say hello. If you have any enquires about the 2019 carnival, the organisers can be contacted via or by calling 07817 855430.
